Doug Currie - Production Manager

Doug was born and raised in London, where he lives with his wife and cat. He studied technical theatre at the BRIT school. His working life started at the Barbican, where his role as Lighting Technician was split between the Royal Shakespeare Company and BITE. He gained huge and varied experience of repertory theatre as well as working with a wide variety of international companies in theatre, dance, and music.

As Head of Lighting for the Old Vic Theatre he worked closely with some of the worlds best creative teams and was involved in producing over 20 shows in his 6 years there. He has also toured internationally with Richard III (starring Kevin Spacey, directed by Sam Mendes), The Black Rider (music by Tom Waits, directed by Robert Wilson for the Barbican),and most recently Barbarians for Hofesh Shechter. Doug has also toured in the UK, most recently with The Notebook for Forced Entertainment. He works regularly for The National Theatre and The Barbican, as well as on numerous other projects in a variety of roles.

This is his second year with Mark Bruce Company, having worked as Production Manager and Relighter for Dracula.

Chelsey Thwaites - Technical Stage Manager

Chelsey trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama graduating in 2013 with a BA (Hons) in Technical and Production Management. Splitting her time between traveling and working, Chelsey is back for her second production with the Mark Bruce Company, previously working on the Dracula 2014 UK Tour.

Recent work includes The Mousetrap 60th Anniversary UK Tour, Globe Theatre 2015 Rep Season, Opera Holland Park 2013-2015 Rep Seasons, Dracula 2014 UK Tour, Rapture, Blister, Burn (Hampstead Theatre), The Scottsboro Boys (Young Vic), National Youth Ballet (Yvonne Arnaud) and Hysteria (Hampstead).
