Choreographed by Mark Bruce to the music of the White Stripes, Green Apples is a commanding duet performed in the round. Separated from the performers only by a rope, the audience is drawn into a visceral and immediate experience as the dancers circle themselves and each other in a space of physical intensity and magnetic energy.
Originally created for Darren Ellis and Pari Naderi, Green Apples was commissioned by the Summer Collection for ROH2 at the Clore Studio of the Royal Opera House in 2006. Subsequent performances have included British Dance Edition 2008 in Liverpool and the Places 2008 SpringLoaded season.
